P.D.Q. (Process/Development/Quality) Engineer - Baraboo, WI Facility

Function:

The overall responsibility of the P.D.Q. Engineer is to focus on the entire manufacturing Process to produce Quality parts which meet or exceed our customers' specifications while Developing and Training associates to better themselves, the product and the company.

Job Responsibilities:

Process
• To observe and recommend adjustments to presses and secondary equipment to increase productivity.
• To take immediate action on any process where standards are not being met either because of

process or operators.
• To improve process for safety, productivity, easier handling, and increase of productivity, reduce waste,

reduce scrap, or work flow allows for a better work stream including eliminating steps.

Quality
• To ensure the product meets or exceeds customer specifications including all Quality Standards

assigned like but not all inclusive TSO 16949, ISO 9901: 2000, or QS 9000:1998.
• Interact with customers on regular basis to resolve quality issues, improvements, product/process

changes which affect the product functionality and performance.
• Make recommendations and regular visits to customers to facilitate the necessary modifications

to maintain and build customer relations.

Development and Training
• Educate and re-enforce to all associates process procedures/work flow which build understanding

of manufacturing quality parts.
• Identify and actively coach associates who demonstrate engagement or disengagement in the

Quality Manufacturing Process.
• Interact on regular basis with associates on all shifts at all levels to reach out and create a

Quality Manufacturing climate within Blow Molding.

Education & Skills Requirements:

• Bachelor level degree in engineering, industrial technology, quality, manufacturing, or similar level of

experience.
• Ability to analyze and make recommendations on manufacturing, quality, and training - at least three

years of demonstrated work experience.
• Strong interpersonal communications skills in written, electronic and verbal methods in order to better

customer, associate and company.
